One of the longest continuously held family retreats in Humboldt County, “Forest Kamp” was purchased in 1929 by grandpa and his five daughters. This cherished redwood grove has been lovingly enjoyed ever since…now by the grandkids and great grandkids. Consisting of one main two bedroom, one bath cabin, four sleeping cabins, one sleeping tent, a group kitchen and dining hall that can seat twenty, and several outbuildings this sanctuary is nestled in a peaceful redwood forest near the Eel River in lower Redway. Perfect for a summer family base of operations to explore the wonderful natural beauty of the coastal mountains of Humboldt, the Black Sand beaches of Shelter Cove or the magnificent Avenue of the Giants with its’ Redwood State Parks. The parcel is flat and useable with a fire pit for family campfires, volleyball, ping pong, horseshoes and close to the river for summer swimming. Sing songs and tell stories by firelight and create your own family tradition beneath ancient redwoods.
